The prestigious Herbert H. Jasper Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Neurosciences allows the applicant to undertake a postdoctoral research project with the investigator of their choice within the “Groupe de recherche sur le système nerveux central” (GRSNC) of the Université de Montréal. The stipend has a value of 40 000 $ CAD per year for two years, plus a travel allowance. The holder of the fellowship will be able to take advantage of the exceptional research facilities of the GRSNC and conduct research on a wide range of topics in the fields of neurophysiology, neuroanatomy, neurochemistry, neuropharmacology, molecular biology and cognitive neuroscience. The applicant should preferentially have obtained his or her Ph.D. no more than 4 years before the start of the fellowship. Applicants who plan to obtain their Ph.D. during the coming year are also eligible, as long as the planned dates of Ph.D. completion and beginning of the postdoctoral fellowship is before October 2010.
