2010 Canadian Neuroscience meeting jointly organized by CAN and CCNP.

Call for Proposals for Symposia and nominations for plenary lecturers at the 2010 annual meeting of Canadian Association for Neuroscience-Association Canadienne des Neurosciences (CAN-ACN). The 2010 Canadian Neuroscience meeting will be jointly organized by CAN-ACN and The Canadian College of Neuropsychopharmacology (CCNP).

The 4th meeting of CAN-ACN will be held in Ottawa on May 15 to 18, 2010 at the Westin Hotel. The format will consist of Plenary lectures, symposia and poster sessions.

We request proposals for symposia and plenary speakers for the 2010 meeting that cover a wide range of topics in both basic and translational neuroscience.  Symposia will be chosen based on scientific merit, whether the topic was not covered recently and whether junior faculty or women are included as speakers.  We also wish to ensure that a wide range of neuroscience topics are represented in various symposia. The Chair may or may not be a speaker and the total number of speakers should be 3 or 4. Please note we cannot guarantee any support for travel expenses for symposium speakers.

Submit completed forms by October 14, 2009  to krhodes@brain.ubc.ca with “CAN 2010 Symposia Application” in the subject line.
